Thanks so much for your quick reply. I'm really sorry for such a stupid question. I just purchased a HP laptop with Windows 8 Pro 64 bit OS. I was looking for a License key on the manufacturer website and there was not one there. So now I have downloaded the HP download tool and I want to try that option. I am really looking forward to get this new laptop and I would really like it to be compatible with windows 7. I have a key, I just need to use it! It's so frustrating! I'm afraid I won't be able to boot into windows 7 anymore if I use that method. Please help. Thanks so much for your time!

You need a Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate license.
On the HP website you should be able to order the product and download the drivers on their website. If you cannot download it online try the MS site. If you are still stuck. You may want to try using a recovery disc. That is where you use the recovery partition on your hard drive and boot from it. If that doesn't work you may need to call HP Tech support for assistance. Hey there! There is no way of installing 8.1 in a system where you have windows 7 already installed. Only way is to install windows 8.1 in a separate partition.But if you have enough space, then its easy. The only difference is the partition setup. Instead of only primary partition, you have one logical partition and one extended. This could give you an option to have both windows 7 and 8.1 installed at same time. But one more question, how did you manage to get a license key for this? My hp has similar configuration with yours. I think its HP model no. D6213M.
Hey, does anyone know if the HP 64-bit Win7 drivers will work on my HP 6567B? I ordered a Windows 7 Enterprise and the HP drivers don't seem to be available, only the Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit drivers which I'm not sure if I have the right version or not. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
